Infopedia is a Wikipedia application on the Palm Pre. You can browse and search Wikipedia for articles, and the formatting and display is pretty well done. One thing I noticed immediately is the lack of landscape mode support in this app – no doubt we’ll see an update soon. In addition to searching for articles, you can browse random articles or look at current events. You can also bookmark specific articles for later reference. The Infopedia app also shows browsing history. 

This is a pretty popular application on other platforms, and I suspect it’ll remain one of the better Wikipedia apps on the Pre for a long time to come. Searching is fast, but there’s no way to hook this application up with the Pre’s Universal Search feature (which will still take you to a browser rendering of the wikipedia page). Hopefully Palm will expose those hooks to allows apps such as this to integrate better with search and other WebOS services.
