The Intuit GoPayment app on the Palm Pre App Catalog allows you to make a credit card charge while traveling or otherwise away from your regular card reader. The system also works with two models of bluetooth enabled card-readers – but you don’t need them for the app to work because you can enter a number manually as well. It works with all major credit cards and the transaction is processed instantly with a confirmation screen showing the charged amount and the very nice ability to email or sms a receipt to the customer right then and there. 

The Intuit GoPayment application itself is free on the Catalog, but the system costs $19.95 per month plus transaction fees and a one-time setup fee (all payable to Intuit). There are discounts for transactions involving the major credit card networks. Multiple employees can be added to a single GoPayment account. This is a valuable and serious Palm Pre app that should really help Palm get a foot in the door in the enterprise market.
