The Flightview Palm Pre app is an accurate real-time flight information application with a nice, clean user-interface. You can track flights either by entering the route (departure/arrival cities) or by entereing flight details including the Airline and flight number. Most of the inputs have drop-down auto-completes that figure out what you’re typing well before you finish – very handy. You can add specific flights on specific routes to your “My Flights” selection which is very useful if you travel the same routes frequently.

The app shows plenty of useful information regarding flights, including estimated arrival time, departure and arrival times, time remaining, arrival and departure gates, and finally an overhead birds-eye-view map of the flight. You can also create notes in the app for reminders and hotel information if you like. This is an extremely useful and well-designed application that will come in very handy if you travel frequently or even if you find yourself picking up friends and relatives from your local airport.
