GetMeVino is a well-designed wine reference app for the Palm Pre. It pulls up reviews and ratings of thousands of wines worldwide and also displays the price and production region for each wine. The search feature is powerful and allows you to filter wines by price and type and searh by keyword over the filtered list. The variety and Winery name is also presented in the summary screen, as well as tags that describe the characteristics of the wine. Each review comes with a rating and thoughts about each wine.
The search performance is good and fast but there’s no offline access or ability to save a favorite list of wines. The interface is very well-designed and is highly functional. Reviews and wine information are presented in a clean and uncluttered manner. In addition to user reviews there’s a more authoritative Snooth ranking (the app also uses the Snooth database for all the wine information) that includes a winder range of parameters while ranking the wine. Overall, this is a great little app for wine aficionados.
