Absolute Fitness

Absolute Fitness on the Palm Pre is a paid nutrition and fitness application for WebOS. It already exists on other platforms, including the iPhone and Android devices, where it has been quite popular. The app lets you track your nutrition, weight, and strength training goals. You can pull up macronutrient breakdowns for most dishes, and count your daily caloric intake. The app then lets you see statistics and aggregate data over different date ranges. Calories burned during various workout routines are also computed for you.

You can configure a profile and fitness goals and the app will prompt you and let you see how far you’ve progressed against your goals. Charting and graphing is excellent on this app, and a lot of the information is presented in a clear and easy-to-understand manner. The interface is easy-to-use and the app comes with the ability to export all your data if you wish to crunch numbers on your computer. Overall, this is an impressive health & fitness application and covers most basic needs in this domain.

I love the app, but is there any way to change your total daily calorie requirements without changing your vital stats? the amount assigned to me is way too high, so all my daily % numbers are off. Also, are there any more restaurants available for this app? There aren’t many from which to choose.

I like this app a lot, however I would love it (and pay extra) if there was an option to use it on desktop as well, and to interface the two. It would make it a lot easier when adding my entire day’s food.
