The Photos application on the Palm Pre allows you to manage and view your photos simply and intuitively. Launching the application allows you create and view albums containing collections of photographs. The default view on selecting an album shows a grid of thumbnails. Scrolling through the grid is done by simply flicking up or down. Tapping a specific thumbnail opens up the image fitted to the screen. Each photo can be opened in a separate card. Once an image is opened, you can continue to scroll through the images by swiping across the photo.
There is no external memory slot, so you’ll have to make do with internal memory, which is a hefty 8GB. Photos can be easily transferred from your computer, and, images captured on the Pre’s 3-Megapixel camera immediately go into the Photos application. I’m sure there will be plenty of third-party applications to look forward to which will offer basic editing and annotation of photos.
